Toilet bowl, O toilet bowl
Why art though over flowing?
Toilet bowl, O toilet bowl
Why is ye sewage not a-going?
I flushed ye once, I flushed ye twice
And lo! Yon water rises!
I flushed ye thrice, I flushed ye once more
And lo! Ye water is still a crisis!
Why have ye forsaken me
O stinky ceramic receptacle?
Why have ye betrayed me
O stench offensive spectacle?
O please – become that haven of repose once more
And never again for granted shall I take ye!
O please – become a fragrantly perfumed urn as before
And forever I shall shiny and clean keep ye!
O cistern of putrid muck
Please return to your fine flushing ways!
O cistern of gross disgusting stuff
How I dream of those clean flushing days!
